The C-PET full-ring Positron
Emitted Tomograph (PET) system
is a Single Pass™ (whole body)
scanner designed to provide true
volumetric imaging. It is
intended for use as a diagnostic
imaging device. When used with
appropriate
radio-pharmaceuticals, it
produces images representatives
of the internal distribution of
radioactivity in the head or
whole body. It is designed to
complete three patient scans per
day.
- The C-PET PET imaging
system is based upon six
large position-sensitive
Sodium Iodide detectors. The
detectors are arranged in a
hexagon around the patient
port. The detectors are
numbered 1 through 6. Each
detector has a 1” crystal,
48 PMTs and a Preamp and CFD
board, used for coincidence
detection.
- The main components are:
Gantry, Detectors, Table,
and Computers.
- There are few moving
parts on the CPET: Table
Up/Down and In/Out, Source
Loader, Ring.
- Computers are an
Acquisition and a Server.
The ACQ collects the data
and is the interface to the
Gantry’s electronics, and
the SVR processes and stores
the data. There are also
Remote workstations for
reading rooms.
- The two current releases
of software are: UGM7.3.6
and UGM8.1.1 (this contains
Syntegra for image fusion).
